Minting and burning ensure that SILV always reflects real silver inventory. When silver enters the vault, tokens are minted. When silver leaves the vault, tokens are burned.

This creates a closed, honest system where digital supply always matches physical reality.
Minting
Minting occurs only when new physical silver is added to the vault. It is a controlled, transparent process authorized through a cold issuer wallet.
Minting Flow
- Physical silver is acquired and verified
- Inventory is logged and confirmed
- Cold issuer wallet signs a mint authorization
- New SILV is created on the XRPL
- Tokens are transferred to the operational wallet
Minting increases the SILV supply only when real metal is added — never for speculation, leverage, or synthetic exposure.
Burning
Burning occurs when a customer redeems SILV for physical silver. Tokens are permanently destroyed, reducing the supply to match the metal leaving the vault.
Burning Flow
- Customer submits a redemption request
- Identity is matched to wallet address
- Customer sends SILV to the redemption address
- Cold issuer wallet signs a burn transaction
- Physical silver is released and shipped
